Mental Health Counseling for High-Functioning Adults

You may be functioning well on the outside – managing work, family, and responsibilities – while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, disconnected, or stuck. Counseling offers a space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and address patterns that no longer serve you.

People often come to counseling when long-standing stress, burnout, anxiety, or identity strain behind to feel unsustainable – even if they’ve been coping for years. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

  • Chronic stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion

  • Anxiety, rumination, or difficulty shutting your mind off

  • Life transitions, identity questions, or role strain

  • Relationship patterns that feel hard to change

  • Sleep difficulties or insomnia

My work is collaborative, relational, and grounded in an understanding of how nervous systems, internal patterns, and lived experience shape the way we think, feel, and relate. Rather than pushing change before understanding, we focus on creating insight, flexibility and self-compassion, alongside practical tools that support real-life demands.

I draw from psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring the work to your needs rather than a fixed framework. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and offer that treatment for insomnia or trouble sleeping.

This may be a good fit if

  • You’re thoughtful, capable, and feel internally overwhelmed or disconnected.

  • You want space to understand patterns, not just symptom management.

  • You value nuance, collaboration, and depth.

  • You’re open to exploring both emotional experience and practical change.
